As a personal support worker (PSW) in Midland, I am deeply committed to the well-being of people in our community. My role has instilled in me a profound sense of care and a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. This dedication extends beyond my professional life into my aspiration to serve you as a town councillor.
Deep roots in Midland’s history
My connection to Midland runs deep. I am a descendant of a prominent settler from 1828 in downtown Midland and another an original founder of the Midland area in 1878. My grandmother was also raised here. My ancestors helped build and grow Midland, and I share their desire to continue contributing to our town's prosperity and development. This heritage fuels my commitment to Midland’s future.
A blend of experience and community spirit
I was raised on a family farm near Glen Huron, developing a strong work ethic and a commitment to shared goals. My grandmother from Midland actually lived on the farm next door and helped shape my core values. With 30 years of experience in Trade Settlements in Toronto's financial district, I bring a strong background in organization and meticulous attention to detail. I am also a graduate of the Georgian College Office Administration course and the PSW course, being a PSW since 2017. Beyond my professional life, I cherish Midland's vibrant outdoor lifestyle, enjoying hiking, boating, fishing, various sports, live music, beaches, gardening, and walking my dog. I often wonder what it was like for my ancestors to be here, if they walked the same paths. These experiences connect me deeply with what makes Midland special.
