Voter Instruction Letter

You need a Voter ID or PIN to vote.

Eligible voters will receive a Voter Instruction Letter (VIL) that will contain their personal Voter ID or Voting PIN. Voters are not to share this information with anyone. In addition to the information in the VIL, additional steps are required to validate voter identity when voting online or by telephone. Voters will also be required to take an oath confirming their eligibility, similar to in-person voting. It is illegal to vote when you are not eligible to do so. VILs will be sent via Canada Post in September 2026 to individuals on the voters list.

Voter Assistance Centre

You can vote online in person.

A Voter Assistance Centre will be located in the Town Council Chambers for approximately two weeks prior to Voting Day. Electors/Voters requiring assistance will be welcome to come to the Voter Assistance Centre to get help in person. Voting locations will also be arranged at the long-term care and retirement homes for residents.
